The Burnhope Vintage Vehicle Rally
Was established in 1986 and has over the years become known as "The Friendly Rally". It is held annually on the third Sunday in August.
Each year a cavalcade of cars, motorcycles and small commercials sets out on a different 130 mile route from the former mining village of Burnhope in County Durham. The route takes in some of the most spectacular views and picturesque towns and villages in the North East before returning to Burnhope.
So successful and popular has the rally become, with entries rising in numbers each year, that we now wish to increase the number of volunteer marshals at our checkpoints along the route.
This is a good day out, seeing close up all the vehicles and chatting to the competitors, asking questions and allocating points.
You will be in good company with many like-minded people to show you the ropes.
If you would like further information on being a marshal, entering a vehicle or any aspect of the event, go to our contact page.
